St Lucia Boat Cruise

Experience the beauty of the iSimangaliso /Greater St Lucia Wetland Park on a relaxing two hour boat cruise (three different daily departure times) along the St Lucia Estuary with St Lucia Safaris or Advantage Tours & Charters. Learn about the numerous birdlife, hippo and croc to be sighted with educational talks.

Zulu Arts & Crafts

The iSimangaliso / Greater St. Lucia Park is rich in Zulu crafts. The Zulus or “People of Heaven” are famous in many respects. Historically Shaka Zulu is considered one of the most illustrious African leaders. Their colourful culture has spawned an international fashion craze. Even overseas their curios, beadwork and grass baskets are considered prized possessions.

Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre

An up close and personal tour that teaches about South Africa’s endangered wild cat species. Come and be mesmerized by the beauty of the Caracal (Lynx), enchanted by the playful Serval, astonished by the speed and agility of the Cheetah and delighted by the African Wildcat.

Elephant Interaction

Guests seeking deeper meaning to their visit may wish to have close contact and interaction with wildlife. Although little can match the thrill of seeing wild elephants in Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve, guests are also afforded an opportunity of close contact with 3 Elephant that were orphaned and hand reared but are now free to range in a private game reserve that is over 2 500 hectares.

St Lucia Whale Watching

Whale watching is one of the most popular tourist activities on offer in iSimangaliso. South Hemisphere Humpback whales make up the majority of whale sightings in KwaZulu-Natal. This species tends to be more spectacular and lively with its breaching than Southern Right whales, which are also commonly sighted off our shores.

St Lucia Horse Riding

The Eastern Shores offers a fantastic equestrian experience. Horses are especially chosen to suit the terrain and will be carefully matched to each rider so that whatever your experience, you can enjoy the adventure. The range of horse trails for day visitors includes beach, game or combination rides.

St Lucia Country Club (18 holes)

Monzi Golf Club The Monzi Golf Course and Club House are situated on 75 hectares in a farming area, half way between the town of Mtubatuba and the coastal resort of St Lucia. This area lies on the southern perimeter of the new World Heritage Site of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park.

Scuba Diving/ Snorkeling at Sodwana Bay

Sodwana Bay lies on the northern coast of South Africa and is home to the southernmost coral reefs in Africa. Another world, underworld! Sodwana Bay Lodge Scuba Center, known to its friends as the Scuba Center, is a PADI Five Star Gold Palm instructor Development Center.

Pongolapoort Tiger Fishing

Monzi Golf Club The bay on the right as you pass where the Fish Eagle Safari Boat is moored, Pump Station, the bay as you pass the KZN Wildlife campsites towards the border, Elephant Bay in 3- 5m of water and towards the mountain near the trees in the water. Elephant Bay continues to be the most popular fishing spot.

Crocodile & Snake Centre

Zulu Croc offers an hour and a half, hands-on crocodile and snake experience, join is in the Adventure Show being presented daily at 10H00 or 14H00 (Monday to Saturday ONLY), bringing these fascinating creatures up close and personal and allowing you to actually feel and touch some of the world’s most feared reptiles.

Hluhluwe/Umfolozi park
